Raleigh Speed Shop was born from the passion of the owners, Don and Lee.  As a youngster, Don’s grandmother took delivery of a special order 1966 Pontiac GTO.  Several years later when he turned sixteen, she gave him the GTO, his first car. This fueled Don’s passion and love for all things automotive, especially performance, style, and speed. The “GOAT” is still on the road and driven regularly, thanks to performance upgrades and restoration by RSS. Almost 15 years ago, Don invested in a Raleigh, NC, shop and shortly after acquired sole ownership, establishing Raleigh Speed Shop as a premium classic car builder. Not long after that, one of RSS’s customers approached him with a desire to become part of the ownership based on his experience with RSS on several of his vehicles: a Grand National, Mustang, Falcon, and Bronco. Lee and Don became fast friends and shared the same passion for performance, style, and speed, thus their partnership in RSS was born. This shared passion evolved into a shared vision to make Raleigh Speed Shop what it is today – a trusted way to bring clients’ dreams to reality. Don and Lee have been fortunate to have developed a team of specialized technicians and business experts that has established RSS as the premium builder of custom cars, resto-mods, and restorations.
